FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN CURRENTLY AT FOURFIELDS. Please complete our survey
At Fourfields, we love celebrating the many things our children do, and photographs are an important part of sharing those experiences with families and the wider community.
Currently, we ask parents/carers to give permission for photographs of their child to be taken and shared. This includes photographs shared through our secure school platform, Seesaw, as well as photographs that may appear on our website, social media or other school publications.
We are reviewing our approach because technology is changing rapidly. Although Seesaw is a secure platform, photographs can potentially be downloaded by users and subsequently shared elsewhere. We specifically ask parents and carers not to download or share photographs of other children, but we recognise that the school cannot completely control what happens to an image once it has been downloaded.
The increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) also raises new questions about the privacy and potential misuse of photographs of children.
