The Youth Group will be in Queens Park on Thursday 16th July. This is for those in school years 7-9, 4:30-6pm. A parent or guardian need to sign up the young person at their first session. Run by St Peter's Church this group is a fun place for young people to spend time together outside of school.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my Uncle, Roger Lucas, beloved brother of my Dad and Uncle Robert, and devoted husband to Val Lucas.

For those who would like to join us in celebrating Roger’s life, the funeral service will be held at Peterborough Crematorium on Monday, 17th August at 11:00am.

After the service, everyone is warmly invited to join the family at The Bell Inn, Stilton, to continue sharing memories and celebrating Roger’s life.

This will be a celebration of life, so please feel free to wear whatever colours you wish.

The family kindly requests family flowers only. If you would like to make a donation in Roger’s memory, donations can be made to Alzheimer’s UK.

Thank you to everyone who helped with the litter pick this morning. Your support is greatly appreciated. Our next litter pick will take place on Tuesday 1st September. We provide all the equipment, so just come along and join us!

It is with great sadness that Yaxley Parish Council has learned of the passing of former Parish Councillor Roger Lucas.

Roger served the community as a Parish Councillor from 2003 to 2015, giving many years of dedicated service to Yaxley. We are grateful for the contribution he made to the Parish Council and to the village during his time in office.

On behalf of all at Yaxley Parish Council, we extend our sincere condolences to Roger's wife, Val, and to all of his family and friends.

The 6 week closure of Farcet Bridge begins today, which will effect both the Stagecoach operated service 5 and the Central Connect operated 26 and 26A services. Stagecoach are providing a free serivce between Farcet and Yaxley connecting residents to the number 5 service, full details attached to this post. Central connect have modified their route, full details are on the website:

There will be a meeting of the Community Facilities Committee on Tuesday 28th July at 7pm in the Council Chamber at the Amenity Centre. This will be followed by a meeting of the Planning Committee expected start time 8pm.

Andrew Wood will be at the library from 2:00–3:30pm on Thursday 30th July for the friendly monthly drop-in session.
