Angela Storey, who died in July 2025, is to be remembered at a concert in Stamford on Saturday 20 June. ‘The Wandering Minstrels’ (www.wanderingminstrels.org.uk) will stage this event in the Ballroom at Stamford Arts Centre at 7.30pm. ‘THE WORLD OF GILBERT AND SULLIVAN’ stars Alexandra Ferrari, Emma Stratton, Tim Hurst-Brown, Charles Mills and Stephen Godward, with Peter Hewitt at the piano. They will sing, act and dance their way through musical excerpts from ‘The Pirates of Penzance’, ‘The Yeomen of the Guard’, ‘Ruddigore’, ‘Utopia, Limited’, ‘The Grand Duke’, ‘The Mikado’, ‘HMS Pinafore’ and ‘The Gondoliers’. Tickets are £16, which can be obtained from the Arts Centre box office on 01780 763203. The concert is a tribute to the late Angela Storey, Headmistress of Peterborough High School from 1977-1999 and a great G&S fan. The evening consists of two hours of Savoy favourites, presented in period costume and performed in traditional style. Don’t miss what promises to be a fun-filled evening!

BBC News has contacted the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Careers and Enterprise Company with a request to film 3-4 young people who chose to work for their family business when they left school/college (and didn’t go to university). This would be a great opportunity for a young person to profile their family business and talk about the skills and new perspectives they bring to it.

BBC are keen to find a range of businesses from different regions, and the stories will feature on BBC Breakfast nationwide, online news, radio and social media. They are asking for any nominations by the end of this week.

We are holding a special luncheon at the school on Sunday 14th September to celebrate 130 years of Westwood House/PHS/TPS. We are inviting all past staff and pupils to attend and really hope that you will join us. Our aim is to do something like this every 5/10 years.
