National Son & Daughter Day is all about celebrating the little humans at the centre of everything we do.

💛 Busy Bunnies was built around the idea that each child’s mind is “a garden waiting to bloom” (as the team often says on socials).
🧒 Our New England and Braybrook nurseries welcome children from 3 months–5 years; Hampton Water from 2–5 years.
🌱 The curriculum and daily routine are designed to support social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth through play.

However your family is made up, your children arrive with their own spark. We’re here to help that spark grow.

National Book Lovers Day is a perfect excuse to talk about why stories matter so much in early years.

📚 Busy Bunnies follows the EYFS, where Communication & Language and Literacy sit right alongside play.
🗣️ Stories help children hear new words, practise listening and begin to understand how feelings and events link together.
🏡 Across New England, Braybrook and Hampton Water, books are part of daily life – not a once‑in‑a‑while extra.

Whether it’s board books for babies or storytime in pre‑school rooms, every page turned is another step in language and confidence.

International Cat Day is a fun reminder that little ones are naturally curious… a bit like cats. At Busy Bunnies Nurseries, that curiosity is at the heart of how we use the EYFS and our Three I’s approach (Intention, Implementation, Impact).

😺 Children explore purpose‑built rooms, from baby spaces with treasure baskets to toddler and pre‑school rooms.
🧠 Practitioners plan learning with clear intentions, then reflect on the impact.
🏡 All three nurseries are designed to feel safe and homely, so children feel confident enough to “prowl” and explore.

Curious, observant and always learning – we think our little Bunnies have a lot in common with our feline friends.

Hampton Water brings something a little different to the Busy Bunnies family.

🌊 It’s based within the grounds of St John Henry Newman Catholic Primary School, but with its own separate entrance and identity.
👧 It offers places for 26 children aged 2–5 years.
🕗 It’s open all year round, Monday–Friday, 8:00–18:00.

Being next to a primary school supports smooth future transitions, while still giving 2–5‑year‑olds a space that’s truly set up for early years.

Braybrook in Orton Goldhay is designed for families who need childcare that fits real‑life working hours.

⏰ Open 8:00–18:00, Monday to Friday, all year round.
👶 Places for 34 children aged 3 months–5 years, with baby, toddler and pre‑school rooms.
🍽️ Healthy cooked lunches available for those staying over lunch.

If you’re planning around commutes, shifts or different work patterns, Braybrook’s flexibility and full‑day options can make a big difference.

New England has been part of the Busy Bunnies story since 2012 – and every summer term there tells its own chapter.

📍 Up to 60 children, aged 3 months–5 years, attend this term‑time nursery on Lincoln Road.
🕒 Opening hours run 8:00–15:30, with morning, afternoon and full‑day sessions.
🎒 For many families, those school‑style hours and a strong school‑readiness focus are exactly what they need before Reception.

If you’re in or near New England and thinking ahead to the next academic year, July and August are prime planning months.

👩‍🏫 From one room in 2012 to six nurseries in 2026.

The About Us page traces a journey from:

New England (2012),
Braybrook joining (2017),
Hampton Water joining (2022),
Ashfield (2025),
Huthwaite (2025),
Kirkby (2025).

Throughout, the focus stayed on excellence in teaching and learning, and building a curriculum and pedagogy around EYFS and the Three I’s.

Growth hasn’t meant losing the “home away from home” feel – it’s been about bringing that ethos to more families.

✨ There are lots of nurseries… so what actually makes Busy Bunnies Nurseries different?

Based on the About, Education, Nurseries and Parents pages, a few things stand out across New England, Braybrook and Hampton Water:

1️⃣ Play that’s planned, not random
Busy Bunnies follows the EYFS and uses the Three I’s (Intention, Implementation, Impact). That means play is carefully linked to learning goals, not just “keeping them busy”.

2️⃣ Key person + Tapestry = joined‑up care
Each child has a key person and a Tapestry online journal, helping staff and parents work together on progress, next steps and home learning.

3️⃣ Different settings, same ethos
New England – term‑time, strong school‑ready focus.
Braybrook – all‑year, flexible sessions and cooked lunches.
Hampton Water – 2–5 years, purpose‑built nursery on a primary school site, with its own entrance.
All three share the same values: Brave, Inspiring, Nurturing, Fun.

4️⃣ Serious about safeguarding & quality
Designated safeguarding officers, safer recruitment, staff training and GOOD Ofsted ratings (e.g. New England) show that fun sits on top of very solid foundations.

If you’re trying to decide “which nursery feels right for us?”, these are great questions to bring to a visit.

🤝 International Friendship Day & first friendships at Busy Bunnies.

The Nurseries page explains that Busy Bunnies’ environments are designed to be secure and pleasant, with a balanced schedule and committed team. That’s the backdrop where first friendships grow.

Through the EYFS, especially PSED and Communication & Language, children learn to:

notice others,
build shared games and interests,
manage conflict with adult support.
Those early “that’s my friend” moments are huge for confidence and emotional development.
