Drowning Prevention Week

Drowning Prevention Week runs from 14th to 21st June and is critical in raising awareness and encouraging the public to enjoy water safely. The Swim Team at Vivacity are proud to be part of this campaign run by the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS).

Children are naturally curious and often drawn to water, whether it’s a pool, beach or even a garden pond. As a parent, understanding water safety and teaching it to your children can make all the difference. By participating in Drowning Prevention Week, you can help ensure your children are aware of the dangers and know how to stay safe.

Free Water Safety Sessions

We are running free Water Safety Sessions at Peterborough Lido during Drowning Prevention Week to try to ensure as many children as possible understand the risks around water.


Daily sessions are available to book from Monday 15th June to Friday 19th June at the following times:

4.00pm - 4.30pm (for Stages 1-4)
4.30pm - 5.00pm (for Stages 5+)
The sessions have restricted numbers and are limited to one session per child. They are bookable by emailing us: [email protected]

Free swimming at Peterborough Lido

We are also inviting Juniors to swim at the Lido for FREE after school on the following dates:

Monday 15th June, afternoon session until 6.00pm
Friday 19th June, afternoon session until 6.00pm
Children under the age of 11 must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times and our admission policy adhered to. Please visit our website for details.

🌟 Introducing Our New Senior Student Leadership Team 🌟

Before half term, our student body took part in a vote to select our new Senior Student Leadership Team—and we are delighted to share the results!

Congratulations to Ariana and Luqman, our newly appointed Head Students, and to Ana-Maria and Samuel, who take on the roles of Deputy Head Students 👏

We are also proud to welcome our wider Senior Student Leadership Team: Zara, Toyin, Mitchelle, Joel, Daisy, Mikolaj, Harry, Lacey, Basirat, Grace and Tania.

This outstanding group of students will play a key role in representing their peers and contributing to school life over the coming year. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make!
