A throwback to our brilliant shadow puppet show made by our Violet art class last term. Titled Goldilocks and the dragon, they wrote the story and created all the characters together. Click the link in our bio to see the whole story!

⭐ We’re excited to be offering some classes for creative grown ups! ⭐

We’re planning regular classes run by our own Artivity artists and by visiting arts practitioners, covering a wide range of media and techniques. Our classes are open to all abilities, and all materials are provided (we also have tea/coffee and biscuits!)

Jo is running our first workshop on Friday 2nd October, 7:00-8:30/9:00pm. We’ll create beautiful ethereal black cats in Indian and Quink ink on watercolour paper.

We'd love to see you there!

Places are limited- please message us to book ⭐

This year's Arts Award courses start this week- we have some spaces available, and we would love to welcome new students! ⭐

Arts Award is a qualification that encourages children and young people to develop both their arts skills and leadership qualities. At Artivity we offer all five levels from the introductory Discover level up to Gold (for which students work at AS Level standard).

The Explore level is open to all ages (though it's aimed at Years 3-6) and runs on Thursdays 5:15-6:30pm between now and the Christmas holidays.

Silver (Year 9 and over) and Gold (Year 10 and over) run on Thursdays 6:45-8:00pm (8:30pm for Gold).

For more information, please send us a message, or have a look at the Arts Award webite (www.artsaward.org.uk)

We had a brilliant final morning of our summer workshop sessions! We had a full house of 16 artists, who all did a fantastic job creating geometric patterned tote bags and canvases using acrylic paint and masking tape. Everyone worked so hard and painted beautiful designs.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along, and to the Artivity team! 🙌❤️

On Thursday morning we made these willow and tissue paper sculptures, inspired by American artist Jacob Hashimoto’s bamboo and paper kite installations. This is a fiddly task and we were impressed with our young artists’ perseverance! We think the results look great 🤩
