Last week I had the priveledge of returning back to the Cambridgeshire Early Years, Childcare, and School Readiness Service Forest School Development Days 🌳🔥 The group were raring to go and a fantastic session was had by all;
- we played some new games
- made a sustainable pledge to the Forest and our plant
- looked at how we can plan for Forest School to enhance the curriculum
- challenged each other to walking on our rope bridges
- cooked as a community on the fire
And as always reflected on our role as Forest School leaders and the impact we have on our children in Cambridgeshire

This time we will be creating some more naturals items to add to our tool box and talking about the ecological impact we have during Forest School sessions 🌳✨️

FOREST SCHOOL AND UNDER 3'S 🌳✨️

Have you ever wondered how to adapt your forest school teaching towards our youngest learners? This short course is designed at focusing the forest school ethos and principles at children aged 0-3years.

There are 2x dates available (you do not need to attend both)

There is funding available for this training requiring that you;
Are aged over 19
Live in Cambridgeshire or Peterborough

Bookings are now available for the Introduction to Forest school courses from 2024-2025 🌳

This training is suitable for anyone who is new to Forest Schools and wants to know more!
The training will consist of the theory and ethos around Forest school, whilst including lots of practical activities, sensory experiences and games which you can take back to your setting 🍃

This course has funding available to cover the cost of the day as long as you are over 19 and live in Cambridgeshire (or Peterborough)

Our network of forest school educators is growing rapidly and this is your opportunity to come, network, share good practice and discuss your forest school journey. We will also be making small instruments that we can use to make some music! 🔨

As always, there will be tea, coffee and snacks by the fire. 🔥☕️

A huge well done to everyone who attended our Introduction to Forest Schools training, for the first time at Milton Country Park 🌳
The weather was unfortunately not on our sides and we had to get our way through the day rather damp and sodden!
Weather aside, what a fantastic group of individuals who came together to brave the elements! Our skills session included some 'very competitive' group games 😅, wooden disc making, fire lighting and our own rope bridge! It was fantastic 🔥🪢
