☀️ A well-earned break... before another busy few months! 🌊🍻
Sometimes the best way to keep moving forward is to take a moment to slow down.
After a busy few months delivering training, carrying out transport compliance audits, supporting Operator Licence holders and developing new services at PETM LTD, it was time to enjoy a family holiday and recharge the batteries.
I'm already looking forward to getting back and helping even more businesses with:
🚛 Driver CPC Training
⛑️ First Aid at Work Courses
📋 Transport Compliance Audits
📑 External Transport Manager Services
🎓 Transport Manager Refresher Courses
📖 Operator Licence Compliance Support
🏆 FORS Consultancy
I'm also excited that PETM LTD will be hosting the National Logistics Training Consortium (NLTC) Transport Manager CPC Qualification Examination on 27/08/2026 at our approved examination centre. This is another important milestone for our business, and we're proud to support the next generation of Transport Managers.
Thank you to all our customers, partners and everyone who continues to support PETM LTD. Your trust means everything to us.
For now... a few more days of sunshine, sea and family time before it's back to doing what I enjoy most—helping businesses stay compliant, safe and successful.

What can happen when another person’s tachograph card is used?
Our latest anonymised case study examines a published Traffic Commissioner decision in which false tachograph records placed the operator’s licence, transport manager and workforce at risk.
We explain:
• what went wrong
• why the conduct was treated so seriously
• what DVSA can investigate
• the responsibilities of operators and transport managers
• how training, auditing and early compliance support can help
A small irregularity should never be ignored. Early advice may help an operator identify continuing risks and take corrective action before the problem becomes more serious.

🚛 Driver CPC Update: National or International – do you know the difference?
DVSA has reminded drivers about the importance of choosing the correct Driver CPC training route.
If you only drive professionally in the UK, the National Driver CPC may be suitable.
However, if you drive — or may need to drive — professionally in Europe, your 35 hours of periodic training must come from International Driver CPC courses only.
This is important because if National Driver CPC training is included when your Driver Qualification Card is generated, you may receive a National Driver CPC only, meaning you will not be able to drive professionally in Europe.
We have created a simple guide explaining:
✅ The difference between National and International Driver CPC
✅ What “opting out” means
✅ When drivers may need to opt out of National training
✅ How to avoid getting the wrong DQC
✅ What operators and transport managers should check before booking training
Read the full guide here: https://petm.co.uk/driver-cpc-national-vs-international/
If you are unsure which Driver CPC route is right for you or your drivers, PETM LTD can help you choose the correct training option before booking.
