A message from our new Headteacher, Mrs. Nikki Lamond.

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to all our families as we begin a new school year at Thorpe Primary Academy.

I hope you have enjoyed a wonderful summer break and have had the opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends. It has been a pleasure to welcome the children back to school, and there has already been a real buzz of excitement around the academy as they settle into their new classes and reconnect with their friends.

As the new Headteacher of Thorpe Primary Academy, I am delighted to be joining such a caring and supportive school community. I am looking forward to getting to know our children, families and staff over the coming weeks and months, and to working together to ensure every child thrives both academically and personally.

This year promises to be an exciting one, filled with opportunities for learning, achievement and personal growth. Over the next couple of weeks, we will send out a calendar of events so that families can see the opportunities and activities planned for the year ahead.

I look forward to meeting many of you over the coming weeks and to sharing in your children's successes throughout the year.

With best wishes for a happy and successful school year ahead.

Congratulations to the winners of our Half-Term Attendance prize draw! They are Nana, Freya, Aadam, Umaiza, Sara, Hadia and Serine - absolute superstars with attendance of 96.7% and above. Their prize was a fun-filled sports session where they could use the equipment. They also received a special certificate. Well done everyone!

As we head into our final week of the academic year, we want to thank all of our families for your continued support throughout what has been another busy and successful year at Thorpe Primary Academy. There is still plenty to look forward to next week as we celebrate our children’s achievements and bring the year to a positive close.

A reminder that school will finish at 1.00pm on Friday 17th July for all children from Nursery to Year 5, with the school gates opening at 12.55pm for collection.

Our Year 6 pupils will remain with us a little longer, finishing at 1.15pm. As is tradition, we would love parents, carers and families to join staff in giving them a well-deserved round of applause as they leave primary school for the final time. It is always a special moment as we celebrate the end of one chapter and wish them every success for the exciting journey ahead.
