NeneGate School Alumni

13/04/2026

We’re planning an Enterprise Morning on Tuesday 14th July and we’d love to invite some of our former students back into school!

This is a brilliant opportunity to come in and share your journey, inspire our current students, and show them what’s possible after NeneGate 💬

🔹 The session will run in a fun ‘speed dating’ style, where you’ll chat to small groups of students
🔹 They’ll ask you questions and try to guess what job you do
🔹 We’ll finish with a relaxed Q&A about your career path and experiences

You don’t need a “perfect” job or a long career — just your story. Whether you’re in college, an apprenticeship, work, or exploring your next steps, your experience will make a real difference.

📅 Date: Tuesday 14th July (morning)
📍 Location: NeneGate School

If you’re interested (or know someone who might be), please comment below or send us a message — we’d love to have you back!

Mr PB has survived his last day at Nenegate, good luck for the future!

A big thank you to Future First and ex student David Clarke, who came into NeneGate to support our students and discuss life after NeneGate. The students loved today’s sessions and we’d love to get more of you involved next year!

Hi all, I’m putting together a Careers Assembly on April 28th called “How Did I Get Here – Celebrating the World of Work”, and I’d love some of you to be part of it!

We want to show our students that there’s no one “right” path after school—everyone’s journey is different. So, if you’re up for sharing your story, whether it was a straight road or a bit of a rollercoaster, it would mean a lot!

All we need is for you to chat about:
🔹 What you did after leaving school
🔹 How you got into your current job
🔹 Any ups, downs, or lessons learned along the way

If you’re interested, let me know! You can come in, send a short video, or even just write a little something. Whatever works for you!

Drop me a message or comment below—would love to have you involved! 🙌

Thank you to everyone who sent clips for Mrs Love’s leaving video - here is the finished vid!

Thank you everyone that has sent a clip, photo or comment. I’ll hopefully put them all together tomorrow ready for next week. There’s still time if anyone wants to send a message!

Thank you Lewis for providing another video (and wonderful picture) for Mrs Love. I’m going to put them together next week, but I would love another couple to add. It doesn’t need to be anything big, just a couple of words would be fantastic.

I’ve started to get some videos in (thank you David Clarke and Steven O'neill) and some photos/words. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far.

If Ms Love has been as lovely to you as she has to me, please please please send me a short video, even if it’s just as short as “thank you”.

Thank you,

James Leeman

Many of you will have fond memories of Ms Love, who has been at NeneGate for 17 years! Ms Love has announced that she will be retiring at the end of February and she will be missed.

I would like to put together a little video for her, which will also be shared in assembly. If any of you want to say goodbye, thank you or share a memory of her I would be grateful. If you want to put it in a short video clip and send it to me I’ll put it together. Anything would be gratefully received, even if it is just two seconds of you saying thank you. The more the better!

I’m pretty rubbish at updating this page, but I’m afraid I will be spamming this for the next few weeks.

Thank you

Mr Leeman

Thank you to everyone who responded to our last post! We’re still eager to inspire our current students by showcasing the incredible achievements of our Alumni on a special display at Nenegate.

If you’d like to be featured, all we need is your name and current job or college course. We may also reach out for a photo to accompany your information.

If you’re interested in being included, please reply to this post or send me a message. The more of you that get involved, the better!

Thank you for helping to inspire the next generation,

Mr. Leeman
