Baby Bumble Beats is our class for the tiniest buzzy bees aged 0-12months/crawling. It is a slightly more gentle, relaxed session involving lots of sensory and close contact with the parent/carer. Starting with our Bumble Beats “Hello Song” there will be exploration through music and sensory play, involving musical instruments, sitting/lying and lap songs, basic movement around the space involving lifting/swaying/carrying and of course a magical sensory finish where the lights come down, the stars come out and we say goodbye. Mini Bumble Beats is our class for buzzy bees who are crawling to 18mths/confidently walking**. Our little explorers who may be ready to venture that bit further from the comfort of their parent/carers lap and have made that transition from new-born and sitting unaided! It is still a fairly gentle and relaxed session involving multi-sensory play, bold colours and textures and all the encouraged contact (they'll allow!) with the parent/carer, but most importantly its a session with little ones of a similar age and slightly older to socialise and interact with, keeping them on an age appropriate developmental journey and boosting motor/social/emotional/language/cognitive and physical skills further. Who knows, we may see your buzzy bee take their very first steps in this class! Bumble Beats: 45mins

Bumble Beats is our very energetic toddler/pre-schooler class for children aged 18months/confidently walking to 3yrs. Each week we explore different musical styles/genres and use sensory play and movement to improve confidence, encourage independence and develop skills in preparation for school. We have a vast range of equipment for the children to use and they will have every opportunity each week to freely express themselves, explore, discover and socialise with their peers. There will be plenty of role play opportunity, educational songs as well as silly songs and of course all the bubbles and star machines you could wish for! Take a run underneath our giant parachute or try your hand at making your own musical instrument to take home. Our Bumble Beats programme is designed to take your child on a magical, musical sensory journey each week, with no 2 weeks ever the same! ABOUT ME:
I was born in Grimsby but grew up in Peterborough and was very lucky as a child to attend schools which were huge advocates of music and the arts and in turn really encouraged my love of performing to develop and come through. So much so that in 2006 I secured a place at the Guildford School of Acting where I studied for 3 years, graduating in 2009 with a BA Hons degree in Musical Theatre. I went on to have a 10-year professional career, appearing onstage in the West End (Love Never Dies, Adelphi Theatre. Made in Dagenham, Adelphi Theatre) and also in various UK tours, regional theatres (Legally Blonde, Hairspray, Don’t Dress for Dinner) and pantomimes. It was an unforgettable time in my life and career, of which I cannot wait to tell my children about one day. I gained invaluable experience and skills within music and performance. After meeting my now husband James, I decided I wanted to settle in one place and have a family…it’s not easy living out of a suitcase! So, I bravely “hung up my performing boots” and moved back to my hometown of Peterborough. In 2018 I began working in a primary school setting as a HLTA Performing Arts specialist, with children aged 3-11yrs. After 3yrs, the Covid outbreak and my first pregnancy, I decided to set up my own business and Bumble Beats began. With experience as a teacher and professional performer as well as becoming a mother, I feel as though I have been able to put together an extremely fun, tailored, age appropriate and professional sensory music programme for you and your child and cannot wait for you to experience it with your buzzy little bees here at Bumble Beats, now in its 3rd and most successful year!
