This week at preschool the children have been learning about the sun. This week was sun awareness week so we spoke about the importance of using sun cream to protect from the sun and what to wear like sun hats, sunglasses and loose clothes.

The children made their own sun's, with yellow and orange tissue paper on round card.

We also made gloop in the tuff tray, where the children used the car tyres to made tracks in the gloop. Through the children choice they then added the ice cream cones to make melted ice creams using the gloop.

This week at preschool the children became Kings and queens by making their own crowns, decorated in jewels, stickers and glitter.
We also made our own cheese and lettice wraps, which the children thought they were delicious. It took us a few tries to roll the wraps without the cheese and lettuce falling out.
The children who are going to school this year joined in with some school activities like collecting a plate, fork and cup on a tray and carrying it to the kitchen whilst balancing all the things on the tray. We looked at uniforms and school shoes and the children guessed what their school jumper colour might be.
We have been practicing the sounds of the beginning of our names and regconsiing our own name in our preschool environment.
We celebrated world penguin day. The children had to save the penguin from the ice using the toy hammers and breaking the ice so it melted quicker. We looked at penguins habitat and the colours and shapes of a penguin. We read the book, your not my mummy. Which is all about a penguin trying to find their mummy.
Some if the children went to town and done some lovely activities shop in queen’s gate followed by nice waffles.

Monday is Bank Holiday and we will be closed. We will be open again on Tuesday.

Outside the children used magnifiers to look closely at the nature and also they used scissors to cut leaves to make a spring collage.
For StGeorges day the children made the flag using red paint . Also the children made their own jam sandwiches and tasted some delicious chocolate cake.

This week at preschool the children have been very busy.
We had our eid party, with delicious food and great dancing, we had a disco with lights and balloons and all the children really enjoyed themselves.

We also celebrated Easter. The children made Easter bags by sticking stickers on to their own and the Easter bunny hid chocolate eggs around our garden and the children had to find them.

We are now closed for the Easter holidays and will be returning on Tuesday 14th April.
We hope you all have a great break
