Christmas has come early in our preschool room today as the children are decorating our Christmas tree alongside an adult.
The adult takes the tree out of the box and encourages the children to help build it first, then brings out the decorations for them to put on to the tree.
The adult asks the children the different shapes and colours we can see, one child says, “it’s a round circle, its big and gold.”
The children take turns to have a go at taking part, to decorate our tree. They are very happy to see the lights come on and jump up with excitement and shout out, “Wow its beautiful.”

Our nursery children had great fun making apple pudding today 🍎✨! They used all their senses — sniffing, squishing, and listening to the crunchy apples — and chatted happily about the ingredients as they followed the recipe 😂. The pudding turned out delicious, and they enjoyed every bite at snack time! 🥄😄

This week the toddler children have been exploring road safety week activities, including painting traffic lights and zebra crossings and playing with a small world scene of little people, cars, roads, traffic lights and zebra crossings. We discussed what the different colours of the traffic lights mean, the children knew that red means stop and green means go.
