Mathematical problem solving with this fabulous game in our session yesterday. It started off nice and easy but got really challenging!
My student needed a little help but showed a great ‘not giving up’ attitude and was determined to crack the problem!!! 😊😊😊

Time with our wonderful friends, a belated birthday treat to Ragdale, Lewis passing his driving test and my gorgeous rose bush coming into bloom!

I am now well rested and ready to welcome my favourite people back into my teaching room later today!

🟰Times tables are the foundation of so many mathematical skills including multiplication, division, fractions, percentages, algebra and ratio.

😊Knowing your times tables fluently helps maths to become faster and easier. They support harder mathematical concepts when they teach secondary school later in life.

✖️When times tables are fluent, they will help your child to become more confident in their maths lessons because it allows them to focus on the problem rather than struggling with the calculation.

🙈In Year 4, children will sit a times tables fluency test where they have to answer 25 questions with a time allowance of about 6 seconds per question!!!

🌞The summer holiday is a notorious time for children to slip back in their learning.

❤️Alongside my normal tuition, I will be holding group times tables fluency sessions for children going into Y4 and above.

👦🧒These small group sessions will be based on PRACTICAL and FUN activities that will help your child to UNDERSTAND and learn their tables and will support fluency.

Tuesday mornings - 21st July, 28th July, 4th Aug, 11th Aug.

£15 per session or block book all 4 sessions for £50.

🏡All sessions will be held in my teaching space in Yaxley and bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
