✨ How to support children’s emotional regulation through nature‑based, sensory‑rich practice
✨ How to design outdoor environments that nurture curiosity, resilience, and wellbeing

This isn’t just training.
It’s a mindset shift.
A new way of seeing children, play, and learning.

Make fairy sticks

Our children loved making these fairy sticks. We went on a nature walk to collect some sticks.

The children then used peelers to remove the bark. Used acrylic pens to draw faces and then chose some leaves for the wings and glued them on with tacky glue (a little stronger than pva)

Give them a go they are great fun. We then used them to go for a walk around our community gardens making up stories about the fairies and where they would live, what their jobs would be and what they would eat.

A great activity to promote nature connection and getting in that vitamin N.

Spring has sprung here at Where The Wild Ones Learn!

This Spring Curriculum is perfect if you are a parent or childcare provider. Within it are 57 pages of amazing Spring activities. Including art and crafts, baking, mindfulness and a poem. Which all use natural and sustainable materials which you will likely have lying around the house, or are easily foraged in nature, so keeps costs down.

Every activity has a step by step guide, including photos which make them so easy to follow. But if your child/children want to do something completely different with the resources you provide them, please encourage this and support their curiosity and creativity. Children learn so much more when they are allowed to lead their own learning.

Every activity has learning outcomes in line with the 7 areas of learning in the EYFS early years framework. Ofsted have seen this study and really liked it.

We hope you enjoy this study. If you do, please check out our other studies and monthly membership.

Take care.
