Year 3 had their Celebration of Learning yesterday and had a fab time. They were able to show off their wonderful artwork depicting Egyptian architecture and Egyptian gods, shared knowledge about mummification and pyramids and explored the art of writing in hieroglyphics. The children really engaged with this topic and did us proud by sharing all their knowledge on the topic of Ancient Egypt.

Year three had a fabulous time at Flag Fen exploring the times of Boudicca and the Romans.
They made us proud by sharing all their knowledge and joining in enthusiastically with the activities and discussions. A decision was to be made after hearing both side’s arguments about which army to join. Which would you choose - Boudicca’s army or the Roman army?
The children enjoyed a picnic in the sunshine too. It was a brilliant day filled with fun, laughter and learning.

Some of the comments shared in the report can be seen here:
“Newark Hill Academy is a primary school with a strong, values‑led culture where emotional regulation, belonging and learning readiness sit at the heart of everything we do.”
“Pupils and families described our academy as inclusive, nurturing and opportunity‑rich. With one pupil describing the school as 'a great opportunity"
“Stakeholder feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with parents saying they 'could not think of anything else the school could do’ to support their children.”
“The assessor praised Newark Hill Academy as ‘a calm, relational and evidence‑informed inclusive school’ where inclusion is embedded in everyday practice.”
We are incredibly proud of this as a team and although this report highlights the incredible work of the team here at Newark Hill, we always know there is more we can do and areas to improve -which we are deeply committed to achieving. A huge thank you to the staff who ensure inclusion is a universal offer for every child.
