🌳🐿️ Cubs Outdoor Adventure! 🍂

What a fantastic time we had out in nature! 🌿

The Cubs headed to the park for an afternoon of conker picking, exploring and investigating. 🔎🍂 We enjoyed discovering what we could find, getting curious about the world around us and making the most of the great outdoors.

There was also plenty of fun to be had in the sandpit, with lots of digging, building and imaginative play! 🏖️

A brilliant afternoon full of adventure, discovery, teamwork and fun. 💚⚜️

🍂🌿 Gazelles have been busy exploring, learning and discovering! 🌿🍂

Our autumn adventures have taken us outdoors to explore nature. The children helped to make compost and learned how natural materials can be reused. 🍁🌱

We used our senses to explore different logs. We felt the rough and smooth textures and talked about what we could see, feel and smell. We also enjoyed creating our own campfire experiences! 🪵🔥

🥬 Healthy food has been a focus too. We explored real leeks and used kettles and familiar items in our home corner for imaginative play. 🏡💚

♻️ Recycling came into our water play. We used recycled bottles to fill, pour and squeeze. 💧

👀 To finish our ‘All About Me’ learning, we explored our eye colours in the water tray. We looked closely and compared our colours with our friends. 💙💚🤎

So much hands-on fun, learning and discovery! 🌈✨

We have had a lovely start to the week! The Macaws enjoyed a wonderful nature walk in the sunshine, where they gathered a variety of natural resources, including sticks, conkers and leaves, while taking the time to observe the beautiful changes happening around them in the forest.

We took our clipboards along with us and enjoyed ticking off the different things we could spot. The children were encouraged to use their senses and notice the changes from summer to autumn, observing the changing colours, fallen leaves and signs of the new season.

It was a lovely opportunity to explore the outdoors, develop our observation skills and appreciate the wonderful nature around us. 🍂🌳☀️

🌟 Gazelle Room Adventures! 🌟

The Gazelles have been busy learning, creating and exploring through lots of exciting activities! 🦌💛

😊 Facial Expressions – We explored different facial expressions and talked about how we can show our feelings through our faces.

🍎 Apple Printing – We got creative with apple printing, exploring colours, shapes and patterns.

🔢 Counting with Hopscotch – We practised our counting skills while having lots of fun jumping and playing hopscotch!

🎶 Exploring Musical Instruments – We experimented with different instruments, listening to the sounds they make and enjoying making music together.

🏠 House Making – We worked together to build and create our own houses, encouraging creativity, imagination and teamwork.

So many wonderful opportunities for learning through play! 💕✨

🌿👃 Cubs Room – Exploring Our Senses! 👃🌿

The Cubs have been busy exploring their senses! We used our sense of smell to investigate fresh chives and rosemary, talking about the different scents and enjoying discovering how they smelled. 🌱👃

We also enjoyed lots of sensory play, exploring different textures and materials through hands-on experiences. ✋✨

The children also had lots of fun during their Jo Jingles session, singing, dancing and making music together! 🎶🥁💃

🌿🥕 Gazelle Room Adventure! 🥕🌿

Today we went on a lovely walk to the shop, where we picked out some healthy vegetables. We looked at all the different foods and talked about which foods are healthy and help our bodies to grow strong. 🥦🍎🥕

We also had lots of fun exploring nature along the way! 🍂🌳 We collected conkers and leaves and enjoyed discovering what we could find outdoors.

It was a fantastic day of learning, exploring and having fun together! 💚🍁

This week, our Macaw's have enjoyed getting out and about on a lovely walk to the train bridge. They had lots of fun watching the trains go by while getting some fresh air and exercise. 🚉

The children did a fantastic job holding hands and walking safely along the ramp. They particularly enjoyed listening out for the trains and seeing how many train horns they could hear! 🚂

Back at Macaw's, we have also been exploring our letter of the week and learning more about our emotions as part of our ‘All About Me’ topic. The children have been developing their understanding of how they feel and learning that it is okay to talk about and express their emotions.

Our Gazelles have been keeping their hands very busy this past week! 🦌✨

They’ve been pouring their own milk and water, threading needles with spaghetti and cereal hoops, counting using their fingers, and even using forks to create spectacular hedgehog paintings! 🦔🎨

All of these fun activities help to develop their hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills, while encouraging independence, concentration and creativity. 💕👏

Well done to our new little ones for exploring their new room with such wonderful smiles, confidence and kindness! 🌟

This week, we have been exploring ‘All About Me’, learning about our unique features and noticing what makes us similar and what makes us different. It has been lovely to see the children talking about themselves and getting to know one another.

Our letter of the week is ‘B’, and we have been busy learning the sound and getting creative by making our very own buzzy, buzzy bees! 🐝

What a wonderful week of exploring, learning and settling into their new room! 💛

The Gazelles are very lucky — and very happy — to have a brand-new Tree House Loft in their room! 👩‍👩‍👧‍👦🌳🏡

This impressive multi-level play structure has so much to offer. The ground level features windows and doorways, creating cosy little hideaways perfect for exploration, imagination and sensory play.

Upstairs, the spacious platform is accessed via a staircase with safety rails, providing the perfect space for role play, group activities and lots of adventures!
