Fitness with Focus

Hurley (an apprentice in property maintenance, and also my son) has been very busy over the last few days with applying a couple coats of fresh paint to the walls and ceiling after filling and sanding back all the cracks and holes at the weekend.
He also applied caulk around the windows and doors today.

Sadly, these photos don't do it justice, but it's very bright and fresh now - you might need your sunglasses on next week! 😎

Today, we panelled the wall. It was ok actually. Not too difficult considering the ceiling is angled

Today, I took the floor out, to put it on the floor to clean it - the way you do

Refurb part 1.5 (the first 0.5 started Tuesday when we started moving out some of the equipment).

It's empty and sad in here now.
Next time we're in here, it will look completely different. I'm excited and really hope we can get it right. I've been playing with floor layout plans for most of the week.

We've three days to refurb and three hours to refill the space...

I'm so privileged to have such amazing clients. I started looking after a young person "J" back in Lockdown when I ran P.E with Carly, and I've looked after him for almost 2 years on a PT level. This year, his mum decided she also wanted to come and train with me. She is a teaching assistant and J is soon heading into year 11. It is an absolute pleasure to look after them both.

Every summer, they travel abroad for a few weeks to visit their family who don't live here. Today was their final session with me until the end of August, and I got another "end of year" card and gift - that has gone STRAIGHT in my fridge!

Thank you both. Wishing you safe journeys, and I cannot wait to hear of your adventures when you get back. Stay active, have fun, and look after each other

Advance notice of a temporary closure for refurbishment, deep cleaning, and a bit of "out with the old: in with the new(ish)", as well as a little holiday. Ralf needs a little break, and he can't go without me, sooooo 🤷🏻‍♀️

When you come back, you will hopefully feel like you've walked into a new studio. Don't misunderstand, it'll still be a bit spit and sawdust, but it'll be FRESH spit and sawdust 🤣

On a serious note, thank you as always for your support and trust. Without you, I wouldn't be able to do this wonderful job. I'm very fortunate and I never take this for granted. x

Sometimes we exercise, other times we socialise.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: I am so very fortunate to have the clients I do. They are absolutely wonderful.
On Tuesday evenings, I hold a couple group sessions and the friendships that have been built in them are really lovely. One of our friends sustained a nasty injury while out on a different activity 7 weeks ago, and we've missed her company. We decided that tonight we should bin it off and go for a curry and a catch up.

I am rich in friendship and acceptance from my clients, and I love the dynamic the Tuesday night attendees bring 💜. Those who couldn't make it to dinner this evening were missed.

Thank you ladies, it was nice to get out of my active wear for the evening, and to chat about allllllll the things, including TV Spoilers; Wildlife; Dog tales; and allllllll the other things.
