This week year 2 had a school trip to Stanwick Lakes. They became wildlife detectives, explored the area, and learnt some interesting facts about the animals that live there. The children searched for clues, learnt about different habitats, and discovered how to identify animals from their tracks and signs. Everyone showed brilliant curiosity, teamwork and enthusiasm while enjoying the outdoors.

Year 4 had a fantastic visit to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge, where they thoroughly enjoyed exploring the Egyptian exhibition. The children behaved exceptionally well and showed great enthusiasm as they looked at many artefacts on display. They also took part in a painting activity learning how to paint on papyrus paper which was very creative (and not too messy!). We were also very fortunate to have a tour guide show us around and inform us about the ancient Egyptians.

Today children were taking part in a challenge to making Egyptian mummies using toilet paper. They had 3 minutes to cover their peers with paper without tearing the paper. This activity has supported their learning for History and English for their topic on Ancient Egypt.
