The children are having a wonderful last day of term before the summer holidays. We have been painting with coloured ice, dancing with balloons and enjoying yummy party food and ice lollies. We hope you all have a lovely break and we look forward to welcoming you back on Monday 5th September. Good luck to all of the children who will be starting their next adventure in big school in September , we will miss you!

Today the children enjoyed making their own roti and then eating it at snack time with their friends.

Today in the garden the children used water and paint brushes to "wash the garden" and also make marks. The children painted the inside and outside of the wendy house and also the walls, we then discussed how our marks were disappearing as the sun was drying them.

Today we celebrated world chocolate day! The children practiced pouring into cups using chocolate milk in the messy tray, and then made their very own chocolate rice crispy cakes to take home :)

To celebrate the NHS 74th today, we are role playing doctors and nurses by caring for the babies using plasters, bandages and medicine syringes.
Also, linking to our rhyme of the fortnight 'This is the way' the children have been using toothpaste and toothbrushes to clean the teeth on the laminated sheets, whilst singing the song "this is the way we brush our teeth"

This morning the children are playing a game of under the sea bingo. The cards are upside down on the table and they take turns to turn them over, looking to see if they match what is on their board.

Today the children got out their own painting activity and enjoyed mixing the colours, making marks with large movements, and writing their name. Some children also explored the farm animals in hay and built stables using duplo.

Today the children are mixing colours with shaving foam and food colouring. We started with the primary colours; red, yellow and blue, then discovered what new colours we could make.

This morning the children have enjoyed making pitta bread pizzas, by cutting up the peppers, spreading the tomato puree, and spooning on the cheese and sweetcorn. They all enjoyed their tasty snack :)

Today in the tuff tray the children have been developing their fine and gross motor skills by squeezing the oranges onto the juicer, and using pipettes to transfer the orange juice from one jug to another.

To celebrate the summer solstice yesterday, the children today made 'sunshine smoothies' using oranges, bananas, orange juice and vanilla extract. As the children tasted their smoothies we discussed how they can help keep us cool on this hot day.
