This Friday! The children enjoyed cutting their own fruit at the snack table and talking about the different flavours and textures. 🍎🍓 They also had fun decorating Bluey and exploring our Story of the Term, _The Gruffalo_, by creating foxes and snakes for our board.🦊🐍 A lovely Friday filled with creativity, independence and learning!

Today at nursery the children enjoyed playing outside in the sun using chalks to draw pictures with their friends using fine motor skills and expressive arts . The children enjoyed climbing on the crates this activity helped with gross motor skills and balancing . Another child was out side exploring the pirate ship we talked about sea and water this covers understanding the world . The children had an activity set up with pasta to support hand eye coordination and feeling of textures .

Today the children all practiced their physical and maths skills by playing in a game of “what’s the time mr wolf”. All the children took turns to call “what’s the time mr wolf” and when the wolf said the time the children all counted their steps! They all took turns and practiced their sharing skills also!

This morning we have been exploring garden play, we have been playing with the stilts, water play, the hula hoops, sand play. The children have been enjoying exploring with different activities in the garden.

They have been filling up the water tray using jugs, cups, bowls exploring the blue water play and using tubes to get the water in to another tray. They use the stilts to balance and walk to the decking. They are also using the make sand castles and uses diggers filling up with the sand! All the children were playing and talking about what they can see.

Today at Nursery we’ve made the most of the nice weather, we enjoyed playing outside using the rainbow parachute. The children thoroughly enjoyed bouncing all the coloured stars up in the air using the parachute. We discussed the different colours the children could see.

During snack time the children had a variety of fruit laid out in large chunks. We encourage the children to practice their fine motor skills using tongs to put their fruit onto their plates, safety knifes to chop the fruit into smaller pieces, along with jugs of milk or water for them to pour into their own cups.
