Our babies have been busy exploring a range of new activities and experiences. From searching for hidden items in the bubble foam messy play, balancing puzzles 🧩 to developing fine motor skills through the posting coin box, threading and using large pipettes💦 . 🎨 Creative Week! 🎨

Tweenies have been busy exploring, creating and experimenting! From making pictures with a variety of resources and building with magnetic tiles, to cutting, decorating, weaving and creating paper chains. They even made scales on playdough fish! 🐟

These activities helped develop fine motor skills, creativity, imagination, problem-solving, hand-eye coordination and confidence, while having lots of fun learning through play. 🌟

🌱 Growing Independence 🌱

Our babies have been busy developing their independence and problem-solving skills through everyday experiences. From gaining confidence when using the climbing frame, exploring the outdoors, puzzles and practising putting on their own shoes. The children are learning to make choices, take manageable risks and find solutions.🌟

These experiences help support them to be responsible as they develop confidence, independence and an understanding of their own actions and choices.

🐠🌊“Under the Sea”! 🐙🦀

The Tweenies enjoyed under-the-sea role play, puzzles, dressing up, painting puffer fish, understanding concepts heavy/light, floating/sinking and even becoming pirates walking the plank! 🏴‍☠️🎨
These activities supported their imagination, communication, problem-solving, creativity, confidence, and physical development while learning through play.

✨ Room Move in the Tweenie Room!

The Tweenies were involved in choosing what toys they would like in their playroom. Staff listened to their ideas and made sure their voices were heard. 🧸💛

"blocks to build castles"

This helped children feel valued, included and listened to, while supporting their confidence, independence and sense of belonging in their environment.

Tweenies Baking Week! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

What better way to learn real-life skills than by getting stuck into some baking!

This week, the Tweenies have been busy chopping, measuring, bashing, mixing and creating — all while learning about safety and hygiene.
Baking is about so much more than making something delicious. It gives children opportunities to develop their independence, confidence, fine motor skills, coordination and early maths skills, while also learning to follow instructions, solve problems and work as a team.
They are learning to take turns, share equipment, make choices and see the results of their own hard work.
Most importantly, they are developing practical skills that they can use in everyday life. 🌟
And of course… there is the added bonus of enjoying what they have made! 🧁❤️

The Tweenies also enjoyed role-playing baking through messy play, exploring mixing, measuring and creating. They also used their imaginations to design and create their own cupcake pictures! 🎨👩‍🍳

🌿🍂 Forest School Session🍂🌿

Today our woodland warriors from the Baby room, Tweenie room and 3-5 room took part in a Forest School session exploring the woods, and collecting natural materials.

They used their imaginations to create mud pies, experimenting with leaves, sticks, stones, mud and water combining it all together using utensils and pots 🥧🤎

🎶✨ Music & Movement Week! ✨🎶

Last week the Tweenies had a fun-filled week of music, movement and learning! The children enjoyed making their own music shakers, joining group times with our song bag and exploring a variety of musical instruments. They also had lots of fun dancing with glow sticks! 💃🕺🎵 These activities helped develop the children’s confidence, communication, listening skills, coordination, rhythm and ability to express themselves creatively, all while having lots of fun together! 🌟

🎶 Music & Movement week in our baby room🎶

This week the babies have been exploring music and movement! They have been developing their confidence, coordination, imagination and expressing themselves through music and movement while building important physical, social, and communication skills. Some of the activities being:

🎵 Singing and dancing to our favourite songs.
🌈 Dancing with colourful scarves to different rhythms.
🥁 Making musical shakers and exploring different sounds.
⚖️ Building confidence and balance on the balance beams.
🪇Using different instruments to create music.
✨ Moving and shaking glowing batons while moving to music.
