Craigclowan School & Nursery

Craigclowan School & Nursery Craigclowan School & Nursery is an independent day school for boys and girls aged 3 to 13 in Perth,

Craigclowan School & Nursery is located in a prominent and well-connected setting to the South of Perth, overlooking this beautiful city and the incredible countryside beyond. Together, our pupils, staff and parents work hard to create an inspirational childhood like no other for 3 - 13 year olds. Craigclowan families represent a broad cross section of the local (and not so local) community. They

are united by a desire to give their children the best possible start in life, and then some! Amongst the many benefits of an education at Craigclowan are the small classes, the passionate and dedicated staff and, of course, the specialist facilities which pupils have access to from a young age. Being successful in exams is only part of the story, albeit an important one. Our aim is to provide for the whole child: emotionally, physically, spiritually and intellectually. Each child at Craigclowan will have a talent or gift for something; we regard it as our mission to discover and nurture this to allow it to thrive. Do come and visit us to experience what we have to offer at first hand. We promise that you will get a very warm welcome and find a school in a stunning location with tremendous spirit and a passion for childhood.

have been exploring the structure of flowers in their lesson today. In this hands-on lesson they carefully dissected flowers, identifying and examining the different parts and learning about their important roles in plant reproduction. A great opportunity to put their scientific skills into practice! 🌸🔬

Mrs Cook's first assembly was an opportunity for the children to get to know her better. She'd brought some belongings from home which provided them with clues about her and her interests, along with a red herring. Some of the things they learned included:

👩‍👩‍👦‍👦 she's married with two sons
🏖️she loves travel and holidays
🥄she likes to cook
🐾she has two big dogs and spends lots of time walking them
🏃‍♀️she enjoys running and exercise
👜she likes to shop

The red herring was a golf ball. Despite her family being great players, she's not a fan (well done Tom)! ⛳

She told the children that family is very important to her, that they are her new family and she's looking forward to getting to know them all very well.

✨ And we're back ✨

It was wonderful to welcome everyone back for the start of a brand new school year. From excited reunions with friends to lots of new faces, there were huge smiles in the Square this morning. A particular welcome to all those joining us today, both in the Main School and in the Nursery.

Here's to a brilliant year ahead.

Welcome back everyone - we've missed you! 💙

Back to school! 🎉

The countdown is over - we're back tomorrow! 👏🏻

We've missed the laughter and the buzz of a busy school and, as you'll see from this little video the staff have put together, we're more than ready to welcome everyone back. Hint: make sure you watch til the end! 🤣

To all our pupils and parents, we can't wait to see you tomorrow. Here's to a fantastic new school year filled with friendship, fun, learning, adventures and lots of memory making along the way.

See you tomorrow!
