The Centenary Committee had a fascinating time hearing Jim Black's stories on Friday about Glendelvine School and his time and his mother's time there. From walking to school from the top of Gourdie hill (and having to walk all the way back again having forgotten to pick up a loaf) to transistor radios.

The Big Class are learning about the history of the school and the world in the last 100 years. They've covered the war, the coronation - a tv being lent to the school to watch it. They are now onto the discovery of DNA.

This week, P4-7 will be learning about what happened in the school and what happened in the world during WWII. Some children were evacuated to Glendelvine during the war. It would be amazing if we could find any connections with families who perhaps have relatives who were here at that time. I know it will get easier the further forward we travel along our timeline. Can you help us? Please spread the word far and wide.
