Baby Room have been exploring creepy crawlies this week. The children have been incredibly inquisitive when exploring the small world set ups in the tuff trays.

Some of our older children were able to identify the sizes (big or small) of the creatures and also identify their bodily features. Whilst the younger children attempted noises and enjoyed listening to related songs such as 'Incy Wincy Spider'

Over the past couple of weeks, our children have been exploring shapes through a variety of activities. Building with Duplo, balancing blocks and matching shapes on stacking puzzles. Whilst doing so, our children are not only learning about shapes and space, but also strengthening their fine motor skills to manipulate the objects they are playing with.

Pre-school have been 'out of this world' this week learning all about the solar eclipse due to take place this evening. They explored non-fiction books to find out facts about the sun, moon and planets, created their own space pictures and made a space rocket! Today they have explored the text 'Whatever Next' about a very special bear who journeys into space with his cardboard box rocket ship.
