Dicey swimming conditions in the sea yesterday, with high wind from a south / SW direction. We had no idea however, tucked in at the Goodygrane Lido. Beautiful swimming conditions and still a great temperature. The sauna was also piping hot.

A couple of years ago we introduced the 'Slow, Short & Social' swimming holiday and they've been incredibly popular. So this year, we've 'gone again', with the 'Breaststroke Swimming holiday'. Whether you swim head-up, head-down breaststroke, mix up breaststroke with a little front crawl...doesn't really matter to us. Ideal for, well....breaststroke swimmers, newbees, swimmers of a more mature age, anyone that likes to chat whilst swimming...

the wind and conditions this week are quite erratic and it's made it very difficult to plan any open water swimming activities! I am running some coaching sessions on Friday, around late afternoon. So get in touch, if interested in a session. We're also at the stunning Goodygrane Lido all of Saturday. Lovely sheltered spot, ideal for this weekend.

Talk is that summer isn’t over just yet…a little more heat to come. Hopefully some stunning swimming conditions as well. We’ve got plenty of Lizard Peninsula action to come in the next fortnight!
I’ve also put a few holiday dates for next year in the calendar, with a number still to come.

Local knowledge can make a great swim even better! Reading the conditions and also knowing where you'll find a really interesting cave, rock feature, sealife...is essential to what we do!

How is this for a plan B!?
A decent strength northerly wind scuppered our 'St Ives 3K Day' mini-event. We moved just down the road to Perranuthnoe and the conditions were outstanding.

I think we’ll pick some favourable conditions and put on this cave swim again, in the next fortnight. The caves don’t take a huge amount of effort to get to…so are accessible for most swimming abilities.
We’ll post additional swims on social media, so keep your eyes peeled.

Had a few of these swims this year! Conditions have been great for most of the summer. Had some very happy swimmers.

Did one or two Gannel swims this year. Always good fun. There was a good week this summer where the forecast didn't quite measure up to the actual conditions. However, the conditions on this one were easily good enough to have a great swim up and down the river.
