A huge congratulations to our Year 11 students as they collect their GCSE results today! 🥳👏

After years of hard work, determination and plenty of challenges along the way, today is a chance to celebrate everything they have achieved. We’re incredibly proud of each and every one of them and wish them all the very best for their next steps, whether that’s college, apprenticeships, or employment.

Our Year 9 rugby squad had an incredible day at Cornwall College Camborne, taking part in elite coaching sessions with Matt Shepherd and former Fiji international Josh Matavesi, while also exploring the exciting post-16 opportunities available on campus.

From Engineering and HGV Mechanics to Welding, students gained a valuable insight into future career pathways before finishing the day with more rugby coaching.

A huge thank you to Cornwall College for providing such a fantastic experience. Our students were a real credit to the school throughout the day! 👏

Huge congratulations to Mounts Bay Pilot Gig Club's incredible Under 16 mixed crew, who have been crowned Newquay County Championships Mixed Champions just one week after their fantastic performance at the European Championships! 🌊👏

Netball Success! ✨🏐

Huge congratulations to Elsie on her incredible achievements in netball!

After two tough rounds of trials at Exeter University, Elsie has been selected for the Bath Athlete Development Centre, a regional netball academy, from hundreds of players across the South West! 🌟

She has also been named County Coach’s Player of the Year at the Cornwall Netball Awards and won Penzance U16s Coach’s Player of the Year 🏆

A brilliant achievement and a testament to Elsie’s hard work, dedication and passion for the sport. Well done, Elsie! 👏💙

From local businesses to organisations including the Eden Project, RNAS Culdrose, the Minack Theatre and even companies in London, our students have represented Mounts Bay Academy brilliantly. We've received amazing feedback from employers, praising their positive attitudes, confidence and willingness to go the extra mile.
