Don't let your children think that life stops when the power stops! Here are 10 fun activities for children to play during a power cut:

Flashlight tag

Players take turns being "it" and using a flashlight to tag other players in the dark.

Charades

Players act out words or phrases without speaking, while the others try to guess what they are acting out.

Card games

Simple card games like Go Fish, Crazy Eights or Snap can be played by candlelight or flashlight.

Board games

Games like Monopoly, Scrabble, or Chess can be played by candlelight or flashlight.

Storytelling

One person starts telling a story and then passes it to the next person, who continues the story until it is completed.
