💙 The end of an era for TG Penwortham 💙

This weekend, we held our last ever sessions in Penwortham. We’ve served the South Ribble area for over 10 years, and it will always hold a very special place in our hearts. ❤️

Over the last decade, thousands of children from Penwortham and across South Ribble have come through our doors. It’s been a pleasure to be a part of so many children’s gymnastics journey.

Some of the ‘little ones’ we taught in those early days are all grown up now (which makes us feel old 🫢).

To every gymnast who has ever been part of our Penwortham club, every parent who trusted us with their child, every coach who has worked alongside us and every person who has supported us over the years - thank you!

While this is the end of our Penwortham chapter, it certainly isn’t the end of Topaz. We’re so pleased that some of our Penwortham gymnasts will be continuing their gymnastics journey with us at Topaz Darwen, and we can’t wait to welcome you there in September! 💙

For those who aren’t able to make the journey to Darwen and are moving on to new clubs, we wish you all the luck in the world. We hope you continue to love gymnastics, make amazing memories and achieve everything you set your mind to. We’ll always be cheering you on from afar. 🥹🤸‍♀️

We will always be incredibly proud of what South Ribble Gymnastics, and later Topaz Gymnastics Penwortham, became.
Thank you, Penwortham. For 10 wonderful years of gymnastics, friendships and memories. It’s been an absolute privilege. 💙🤸‍♀️💎

Unfortunately all classes at Cop Lane Primary School on Saturday 13th June are cancelled. Due to the Penwortham Gala, Cop Lane will be closed therefore making the school inaccessible.

All gymnasts are very welcome to attend our Darwen location on this date instead at the following times:

Intermediate - 10:00 - 11:30
Mini - 11:45 - 12:30
Junior - 12:45 - 13:30

We are so sorry for the short notice, we were unaware of this planned road closure until a parent kindly brought it to our attention this week!

Rainbow Classic Competition ! 🌈🏆

Good luck to all of our fabulous gymnasts competing in the Rainbow Classic Gymnastics Competition this weekend! We know you'll all be amazing and we can't wait to watch you shine! 🌟💙

To ensure the smooth running of the competition, please read the following reminders/pointers:

Please remember that gymnasts must wear either our club/comp leotard, or club shorts & tshirt. Girls hair should be up neatly and out of the face - preferably in a bun or French plaits. Please remember to bring your gymnasts number. Don't forget, there will be prizes for the best efforts!

The car park and venue doors will only open to each round at the given start times, so please do not get there too early. Free parking is available, although this is limited so we would encourage car sharing where possible.

Spectator entry fee is £8 per adult (children are free) and can be paid on the door. There is no need to pre-book spectator tickets. Cash or card payment is fine.

☮️🌼 Flower Power Floor & Vault! 🌼☮️

If anyone is on the fence about entering our upcoming Flower Power competition, we just want to reassure you that this is one is PERFECT for ALL of our members! No matter how young, or new to gymnastics, it will be a really fun, friendly competition and a great opportunity for us to celebrate all of our wonderful gymnasts!

For lots of gymnasts, this will be their first ever competition, so we will be presenting ‘my first competition’ awards as well as the usual participation & apparatus medals - no one will go home empty handed. ✨🫶

We’re excited to announce that sign-ups are now OPEN for our Competitive Squad Assessments 💫💎

Any current member can register for assessment – regardless of their current level
(Gymnasts must be at least 2020 born). There is no cost to be assessed.

Our squad programme is for gymnasts who want to take things to the next level.
✨ More focused & disciplined training
✨ Opportunities to compete locally, nationally & even internationally
✨ A bigger commitment from both gymnasts and families (including club involvement & fundraising)

🌟 What are we looking for?
It’s not just about ability – we’re looking for:
