We had some very special visitors at Trelowan this morning!🐑

Two 4 day old lambs came in to meet the children, it was a lovely experience. The children were calm and gentle, enjoying seeing them up close and even had some cuddles!❤️

World Book Day 📚

We had such a wonderful time celebrating World Book Day at preschool. The children loved coming dressed as their favourite book characters.

We had some fantastic costumes including Cat in the Hat causing mischief, Zog flying around looking for dragons to train, Elmer brightening up the room, Moana ready to sail the seas and we're not entirely sure how King Kong squeezed through the Preschool door! 🐘🐉🌊

The children loved sharing their favourite stories and showing off their amazing costumes 🥰

People who help us 🚓🩻🚒

We've been very busy learning about people who help us and we've discovered lots of very important little helpers in the making!

The children have stepped into the roles of doctors, police officers, paramedics and even opticians. We've had plenty of patients needing emergency bandages and lots of important prescriptions. 🚑

We're also very excited to welcome some real life helpers coming to talk to the children about their important jobs. We have visits planned from a lollipop person, a nurse and even the amazing lifeboat crew. 🛟

The children have loved exploring how these people help keep us safe, healthy and happy!

This week we've been looking at the story The Little Red Hen. The children have worked together to make a loaf of bread. We've been talking about the ingredients and taking in turns. We then all tasted the delicious bread for snack. Yum!🍞🐔

What a start to the term; Snow, ice, wind and floods. ❄️💨☔️🌊 But even with all that going on, we still managed to have fun; finding out about how the Three Little Pigs defeated that terrible wolf and how The Three Bears were terrorised by that baddie Goldilocks. The children tried porridge with honey and they huffed and puffed on it until it was cool enough to eat. Some of the children ate it all up like it belonged to baby bear. It has been so much fun, we can't wait to find out what the Little Red Hen got up to? 😀

Following Cornwall Council advice on the rapid changing weather situation, we will be closing at 2pm.

Please arrange to pick your children up by 2pm or as soon as you are able.
