Yesterday our group of 5 - 12 year old home educated children headed down to Gyllyngvase Beach for a community beach clean. Little wellies and hands got stuck in, sorting through everything from crisp packets to bits of fishing line. It’s pretty sobering to see it all laid out together, a reminder of just how much ends up on our beautiful Cornish coastline and why cleans like this matter so much.
Huge thanks to everyone who showed up and to Surfers Against Sewage for the inspiration to keep at it. Our little changemakers should be proud of themselves! 💙

🌊 Community Beach clean day with Nest Cornwall CIC tomorrow! 🌊

Our group of 11 will be heading to Gylly Beach for a community beach clean with

Along the way they'll be:

🔍 Exploring and discovering what lives on and washes up onto our shores
🤝 Connecting and working together and feeling part of the coastline and our community
🧘Mindfulness and slowing down to notice the sounds, textures and rhythm of the sea
💚Protecting and taking real action to look after the beach and the wildlife that calls it home.

It's hands-on learning about the world around us and a chance to give something back to the coastline we love.

Thanks to our friends at Chyan Farm for hosting our group so that we could learn how to make apple juice the old school way. From picking to chopping and pressing to drinking our children loved sampling their own organic apple juice. If you would like to celebrate apple season with Chyan they are running their annual apple fayre event on Sunday 11th October and you can also learn how to press apples. Hope to see you there!

🌿 We're Back on Monday 7th September and celebrating our 4th Year of service to home educating families! 🌿

The summer break has flown by and Helz Belz Davison and I are heaps excited to welcome our group members back for a brand new term!

This year holds something extra special as we're stepping into our 4th year of offering child centred alternative provision. 🎉 Four years of wild adventures, curious minds and a community that just keeps growing. None of it would be possible without the wonderful families, facilitators and supporters who've been part of the journey. Thank you for trusting us with your children's development and wellbeing.

Whether you're a returning Nest Cornwall CIC family getting ready for term to start or you're considering alternative provision for the first time and want to see what we're all about, we'd love to have you with us.

📍 Our sites this year:
- Frogpool (Gwennap Parish Hall, Richard Jory Playing Field)
Mondays 10:30 - 2:30pm

If you'd like to find out more about joining us, please get in touch we're always happy to chat and show you around.

Here's to another year of growing, learning and adventuring together. See you all very soon! 🍂
