Tutor or no tutor?

I have just launched The Science Boost; weekly online small group (6 max.) science lessons to support year 11s from September to June.

I am looking for 6 foundation and 6 higher AQA Combined Science students who need a boost with their content understanding and exam technique.

Lessons begin week beginning September 21st

Foundation group: Sundays 6-7pm
Higher group: Thursdays 6-7pm

1. Bullet points are fine as long as they are in full sentences, and the overall structure is still logical

2. Don’t repeat the question as the introduction to the answer

3. Do lots of practise with the mark schemes to get used to them

4. Spend a few seconds jotting down some ideas/basic structure first, as this helps reduce waffling too much in your answer

5. Make sure you fully understand what the question is asking first. Read it very carefully and don’t just answer a similar question that you have previously practised.

I hate to be the one to tell you, but content revision on its own is not enough to secure that grade you want.

You need good exam technique.
