Penruddock Primary School

Penruddock Primary School Penruddock Primary School, Penrith, Cumbria. Penruddock is a caring community where every child is We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on.

At Penruddock we appreciate the importance of your child’s formative years at school and strive to create a setting that is warm, welcoming and supportive whilst challenging children to become independent life-long learners. Our school vision is:

A caring community where every child is nurtured and valued, empowered and inspired to achieve.

- a philosophy which permeates throughout all ar

eas of school life. Penruddock Primary School offers the best of both worlds—a caring and supportive atmosphere coupled with high standards of education. As a small school teachers, pupils and their families form excellent positive relationships, working in partnership to learn together. Smaller class sizes further strengthen the relationship between teacher and pupil and enable our skilled and dedicated staff to help children make the best possible progress. Alongside, an innovative and creative approach to the curriculum allows children to make links between subjects and with the wider world, it is no surprise that Ofsted highlighted these strengths in 2012:

•Penruddock is a good school where pupils’ behaviour and safety are outstanding… The school provides a caring community where children are nurtured and valued.
•The school provides many memorable experiences for its pupils and this helps their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development to be outstanding.
•The headteacher and his staff know every pupil very well. They make learning highly enjoyable and provide them with an outstanding curriculum that impacts particularly well on the pupils’ personal development.
•Pupils’ attainment is above average and improving...Teachers are enthusiastic and use interesting activities to make learning fun.

All we’ve accomplished and all that we’ve done,
Learning to be who we want to become,
Oh what a brilliant adventure it’s been,
So many highs, a few lows in between,
So say goodbye, but let’s not cry,
Time to spread our wings, take to the sky,
Say goodbye and let’s be glad,
For the greatest school we could’ve had,

All the best for the future xx
