Early Years Practitioner – Part Time (Level 2 or 3)
Start Date: 1 September 2026

Following the expansion of our nursery to include 2-year-olds and year-round provision, Hunter Hall is seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioner to join our Nursery and Pre-School team working two or three days a week. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed individual who is passionate about early childhood education and supporting young children to thrive in a nurturing, family environment.

THANK YOU to everyone who came to our Anonymous Art Event today - what a genuinely lovely start to the weekend.

The hall was full of good vibes, good art and great people! So far, together we’ve raised a whopping £4295!

BUT it’s not over - here’s what’s still available. So if you couldn’t make it, zoom in, have a look and if there’s something that takes your fancy, message us and we will hold it for you.

Thank you to the Anonymous Art Event team who have beavered away behind the scenes getting everything event ready and thank you once again to all you contributing artists - you’re all wonderful people!

SAVE THE DATE!

Just 10 days to go until our 40th birthday Anonymous Art Event.

Our Anonymous Art Event is fast approaching on Sat 6 June, 11am doors open.

With around 200 artworks for sale at a fixed price (£50 each in main sale, £15 suggested minimum each for Hunter Hall pupil creations), this is your chance to bag yourself a mini masterpiece.

With contributing artists from around the world (yes really!) as well as brilliant representation of Cumbrian and Hunter Hall family talent, we’re expecting the event to be busy.

Artists and celebrities featured include:

Rory Stewart, Lee Child, Maria Burton, Simon Bull, Debby Akam, John Swannell, Sarah Taylor, Gary Power, Luke Sayer, Alex Jakob Whitworth, Paul Wilmott, Gina Farncombe, Colin Hindle plus many more…

So if you’ve seen a name you want to bag, make sure you’re there early as we’ll let people in on a first come, first served basis. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.

DEADLINE: SIGN UP NOW TO TAKE PART IN OUR 40th ANNIVERSARY ART EVENT!

Please share with artists, artistic friends, alumni and celebrities!

Sign up by Thursday 30 April to join our Anonymous Art Event: create A5 postcard size masterpieces to be exhibited and sold alongside current pupils’ creations at an event at the school as we mark our 40th anniversary year in June.

The twist? None of the artworks are signed on the front so people are buying blind for a fixed price. Only after their purchase do they discover who caught their eye. Bag a bargain from a famous name or just acquire a new piece to enjoy in the name of art.

Over 60 people have already signed up including leading luminaries from the art, photography and creative industries.

Confirmed so far include:
broadcaster and former MP for Penrith and The Borders, Rory Stewart
international photographer to the stars, swannell
global best-selling author Lee Child and
California-based-Cumbrian-native (and former Hunter Hall parent) Simon Bull.

Cumbrian talent looks set to be well represented too with well-known names from closer to home such as:
Maria Burton, Sarah Taylor, Paul Wilmott, @
Debby akam, colin hindle and Juno Lowther to name but a few.

Mediums range from traditional watercolours and acrylics to charcoal, embroidery and photography. We’ve had submissions come in from as far afield as Portugal, the USA and even Australia!

We’re having one final push to encourage more artists and celebrities to take part and support future, budding artists – can you help? All funds raised will go towards creating creative arts bursaries and scholarships to allow as many children as possible to access a Hunter Hall education.

With the start of a new month, Mr Orme and his team are delighted to announce a new addition to the summer games programme - quidditch! ☄️🧹🦡🐇🦊🐿️

As we constantly look to expand our offering, helping equip children for a fast-changing future, quidditch embodies so many of our values including self-awareness and self-belief, resilience and receptiveness and of course kindness and respect.

Here’s an artist’s impression of teams hard at practice on our playing field. However, we look forward to capturing the real thing next term - though Steven Barber - you’re going to need a bigger drone 🙌
