A great opportunity to get some hands-on experience of conducting research in education settings. You will be conducting and analysing survey data, analysing/data extracting from a range of documentary evidence, conducting/recording interviews (phone and in-person) and focus groups. You will also be examining/analysing existing academic publications and be managing some of the logistics of organising and tracking research activity.

Latest Research
WE have returned to our research roots a bit in recent months and have produced 3 research reports different in method, geography and content but all relating to the leadership role. The most recent is a review of the research literature looking for evidence of impact on pupils at the intersection between leadership, school improvement and curriculum We found a lot about the leadership of learning through continuing professional development and learning but surprisingly little about the curriculum (remember: with evidence of impact on pupils). The second was a study of 13 leaders of school trusts and federations exploring how they went about leading learning in their contexts. The third was an internation study exploring the ways in which the formal systems supported (or otherwise!) the formation of teachers' professional identities.
