Crew day part 3:
Working in teams with local artist and puppeteer, John from Upfront Gallery & Puppet Theatre, the children collaborated to design and create their own unique puppets, which they brought to life in a final performance. They were delighted to explore puppets from around the world and showed great excitement and pride in their own imaginative creations. Loads of fun! 🎭

Crew Day part 1:
The children collaborated in their crews, Oystercatchers, Curlews and Lapwings, to create a piece of art themed on local birds. Mrs Andrews shared how to use biros to explore mark-making, creating a richly textured composition, full of varied shapes and patterns.
The final pieces are fabulous!

Fruit smoothie making by class 1 🍓 🍌

This term in D&T, Class 1 have been learning all about where fruit and vegetables are grown and healthy eating. They designed a smoothie and planned what fruits would be nice in their recipe. Then using knives carefully, they prepared and chopped the fruit ready for the blender.
Once ready their smoothie was enjoyed together at story time 😋

World Cup fever has hit Class 3. In maths, we have started a sequence of learning on ‘probability’.

Today the children seeded the teams, predicted results in the group phase and calculated who would go through to the round of 32. As we move forward, we’ll create our own rules for a probability game to ‘play’ the rest of the matches!

Who will win?
How realistic can we make our rules?
How will C3’s World Cup compare to the real one starting tomorrow?
Will football finally ‘come home’ for England’s men’s team after 60 YEARS!? 👀
