Huge congratulations to all our students who received their GCSE results last week. They have been busy getting ready for their next steps and we wish them all continued success.

Headteacher, Stephen Gilby, said
“We are really pleased with another great set of GCSE results here at Ullswater to add to the successful week for the Sixth Form students last week. Once again, we are incredibly proud to serve our children and their families. Results this year once again demonstrate the amount of effort the students have put in alongside the resilience they have shown throughout their time in secondary school. There are some incredible results and stories amongst our year 11’s”
“We know our students will be pleased with their results and what a privilege it has been to support them over recent years. Today it is fantastic to see each of them with the keys to fulfil their ambition and get them to where they want to be in September.”
“My congratulations to all the young people of Ullswater and across the county on their achievements today and I wish them all the very best for the future.”

Marcus Castle, Head of Year 11, added
“What we learn every year is that the children of our incredible school are far more than a set of grades - we want to celebrate every individual who has shone, for all sorts of reasons, during their time here at Ullswater Community College.”
“It has been an enormous privilege to get to know you all and your families as well as be a part of your lives over recent years. Remember, you’ll always be a part of our wider family, stay in touch and we’ll be here to support you whenever you need us.”

Students across Cumbria in Sixth forms and colleges are celebrating their post 16 exam
results.
Headteacher, Stephen Gilby, said:
“I am absolutely delighted for all the students collecting their results from Ullswater
Community College today. At UCC we are incredibly proud to serve the Penrith Community
and of all that our students have achieved this year. They have shown resilience and
dedication with the effort they have put into their studies and their achievements are well
deserved.
As a school we continue to be academically ambitious for all our students and these results
are a testament to the high quality teaching and positive, caring and supportive
relationships nurtured throughout the school.
I want to take this opportunity to congratulate all the young people at Ullswater and across
Cumbria on the results that they will receive this week and wish them well on their chosen
pathways.”
Rob Jackson, Head of Sixth, added:
“With over a fifth of our Year 13 cohort achieving two or more A or A* grades or
equivalents, I’m delighted that their hard work and enthusiasm for their courses has paid
off, handsomely. We continue our strong tradition of supporting our students with their
future ambitions. Be that a place at Oxford or Cambridge University, a high quality
apprenticeship, a gap year or straight into the world of work. I believe the strong
relationships we develop between students, parents and carers, and teachers plays a
significant role in forging this success.
Our outgoing Year 13 students have achieved all of the above, in bucket loads. I couldn’t be
more pleased for them or proud of them. I have enjoyed every minute of being a part of
their sixth form journey. Individually and as a year, they are a very special group of young
people and as a community Penrith should be so very proud of everything they have
achieved today.”

We are so proud of all our students and everything they have achieved this year. 25 students, that’s a third of the year group, achieved A*/A grades in two or more subjects or their equivalent at Level 3 study: Elsie Attwood, Jacey Austwick, Osker Bennett, Maddie Brown,Elvie Clegg,Tamsin Crook, Rosie Davies, Phoebe Dixon, Lilly Dodd, Eleanor Featherston, Charlie Ferguson, Lacey Fountain,Ethan Ganner, Heidi Hall, Keeley Howard-Carter, Amelie Leicester-Gee, Connie Lightfoot, Erin McCanny, Crystal McGuinness, Darius Pelin, Joe Sanders, Sophie Shield-Gordon, Gracie Siddle, Emma Taylor, Amelie Thorburn.

The wait is over! Students are currently receiving their well-earned grades! Congratulations UCC sixth form!
