The nursery is registered for 35 children from birth to eight years old, by the Care and Social Services Inspectorate for Wales (CSSIW) and undergoes a rigorous annual inspection. dway between Whitchurch and Wrexham, and close to Ellesmere with excellent transport links. The nursery welcomes applications for places from the Shropshire/Wrexham border and attempts to accomodate children with special needs wherever possible. With close links between Penley Primary School and Maelor Senior School children benefit from the continuity throughout their formative and educational years. Nursery children are walked to and from Penley Primary School and we also provide the Early Years Entitlement to those children living in Wales from the term after their third birthday. We accept childcare vouchers from a variety of providers.

Our preschool children have been getting creative as they made their own planets to display in the preschool room. 🌍✨

Using paint, marbles and circular trays lined with paper, they carefully tilted the trays from side to side, guiding the marbles through the paint to create beautiful swirling patterns that resembled planets.

This is a fantastic hands-on activity that supports the children’s creativity and exploration as part of the early years curriculum.

Our younger toddlers have been exploring the life cycle of caterpillars and butterflies. 🐛🦋

We looked at each stage through a fun, hands on craft activity; using playdough to make tiny eggs and cosy cocoons, pipe cleaners to create wiggly caterpillars, and bow pasta shapes, which we painted and decorated as colourful butterflies.

This is a lovely way to bring learning to life and support their early understanding of the world. 💛

Every day at Mother Goose, friendships are forming through play, learning and shared moments. These early connections play such an important role in helping children feel happy, confident and secure.

We love seeing bonds grow between our little ones, and some of these special friendships will hopefully last for many years to come. 💫

We have funded Flying Start places available from September for two-year-olds living in Wrexham, offering high quality childcare in a warm and nurturing setting.

We are also welcoming early bookings for Early Entitlement starting January 2027 for children who turn 3 between September and December 2026. Booking ahead is recommended to secure your preferred place.

Even our youngest babies benefit from simple problem-solving play. 🧩

Activities like shape sorters, stacking toys, and cause-and-effect games help develop early thinking skills, hand-eye coordination, and a natural sense of exploration.

Through exploring and trying things out, babies begin to understand how things work and build confidence in their abilities.

We love supporting these early learning moments through play, giving our babies plenty of opportunities to explore, discover, and achieve. 💛
