Childs Play Day Nursery OFSTED OUTSTANDING nursery, providing quality care for all children 0 to 12 years, in a stimulating and homely environment, where learning is fun!

Outside play has been paramount in the nursery's development. With this in mind we have just completed a major investment in our play area by installing a timber gazebo and indoor/outdoor cabin classroom to provide outdoor play throughout the year. Child's Play's development has always been based on its ability to listen to customer's requests and respond successfully. From its beginnings we have developed into catering for 0 to 11 year olds, 50 weeks a year, closing only at Christmas to allow general maintenance and full redecoration to take place. Child's Play is proud to boast that not even Pen*stone's coldest winters has forced them to ever close!

We’re Hiring!

At Child’s Play, we pride ourselves on creating a home from home environment, where learning is fun! And while the formal duties and qualifications are important, here’s what really makes someone the perfect fit for us…

❤️Must be able to give big hugs, with a warm smiling face that makes every child feel special

❤️The ability to sing in tune is not necessary; however, the ability to sing out of tune in front of a crowd is essential

❤️Must have a high level of comfort around talking about bodily functions and have a strong sense of smell to enable you to respond to said bodily functions

❤️Must have the ability to read a ten page fairy tale, upside down, with at least four interruptions per page

❤️And finally, you must be prepared to feel loved, special, and important to many young children and their families

We've been reading through a beautiful selection of thank you cards from our wonderful preschool families, and every single message has made us smile (and maybe brought a few happy tears too!)❤️

Thank you for trusting us to be part of your little one's early years. Watching them grow in confidence, make friendships, learn new skills, and become ready for school has been such a privilege.

To all of our preschool children moving on to their next adventure, we are so proud of each and every one of you. Keep being kind, curious, brave, and always believe in yourselves!

We're so proud to celebrate Sophie on achieving her Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification! 🥳

This is a fantastic milestone, and it reflects all of the hard work, dedication, and care she brings to Child's Play every single day💛

Sophie is already enrolled on her Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification and is continuing to grow her knowledge and skills. We can't wait to see everything she achieves next!

The children at Child's Play absolutely adore Sophie. Her caring nature, face painting skills, enthusiasm, and playful spirit make her a much loved member of our team!

🎉⭐ Another 5 Star Food Hygiene Rating! ⭐🎉

A huge congratulations to Ben, who has once again achieved a 5 star Food Hygiene Rating following this morning's inspection at Child's Play! 👏

Ben goes above and beyond every day to ensure that every meal we serve is safe, nutritious, and, most importantly, delicious! 🍽️ All of our meals are freshly homemade on-site each and every day, giving our children the very best start.

The inspector not only praised Ben's outstanding standards but also recognised our amazing staff team. They were particularly impressed with our robust approach to allergen management and how every member of the team works together to ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child in our care.

We're incredibly proud of this achievement and grateful to our dedicated team for their continued commitment to providing the highest standards for our children every single day ❤️
