We are very much looking forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Thursday 3rd September!

The school gates will open at 8:35am, and we can't wait to see all of our children returning for another exciting year of learning, friendship and fun.

Enjoy the rest of the holidays, and we'll see you on Thursday morning! 😊

From Reception to Year 6, this group of children have been absolutely amazing! 🌟

Everyone at Pencombe has been incredibly lucky to watch them grow into the wonderful young people they are today. Over the years, they have embraced every opportunity, supported one another, and created memories that will last a lifetime.

This week has been an emotional one for us all – tears of joy as we celebrated their super SATs results and the hard work, determination and resilience that led to such success, and tears of sadness as their Pencombe journey comes to an end.

They have been fantastic role models, bringing laughter, kindness, enthusiasm and friendship to our school community. We are so proud of everything they have achieved and of the people they have become.

As they move on to the next chapter of their education, we wish them all the very best. Never stop believing in yourselves, continue to work hard, be kind, and embrace every opportunity that comes your way.

You will always be part of the Pencombe family, and we can't wait to hear about all of your future successes. 💙🎓⭐️

Our End of Term Service was filled with celebration, pride and love. ❤️

A packed church came together to celebrate the many achievements of our children throughout the year. We were delighted to present Gold Pin Badges, individual awards, and our special cups, recognising a year's worth of hard work, perseverance, kindness and achievement.

We also took the opportunity to celebrate our wonderful Year 6 pupils as they prepare to begin the next stage of their journey. They shared some of their favourite memories from their time at Pencombe, reflecting on the friendships, experiences and opportunities that have made their years here so special. They also offered words of wisdom and advice to the younger children, encouraging them to make the most of every opportunity, be kind to one another and enjoy every moment of school life.

It was a truly special service, made even more meaningful by the support of families, friends and members of our community who joined us.
Congratulations to all of our award winners, and well done to every child for the part they have played in making this such a successful year at Pencombe.
We are incredibly proud of you all and wish our Year 6 leavers every success and happiness as they move on to their secondary schools. 🌟👏🏆💙

Cherry Class have been busy in DT, designing and crafting their very own turtles! 🐢
The children showed great creativity and care as they planned, made and decorated their turtle creations. They worked hard to develop their design and making skills, and the finished products were fantastic.

⚽ The World Cup! ⚽

All of the children took part in a fantastic World Cup morning, where they were placed into country teams and competed against one another in a series of football matches. It was an exciting and energetic morning, with everyone getting fully involved, showing great sportsmanship and cheering each other on throughout.

A huge well done to Germany (Oak and Willow Classes) and France (Cherry and Pippin Classes), who were crowned our World Cup champions! 🏆

Congratulations also to Will and Ollie, who were awarded the Golden Boot, and to Flo and Jessica, who were named Players of the Tournament for their outstanding performances.

Thank you to Tracy and Adriano who organised the occasion and well done to everyone for making it such a fun and memorable event! 🌟⚽👏

Well, that's a wrap!

A huge congratulations to all of the children for their fantastic performances in Hoodwinked. The acting, singing and dancing were absolutely brilliant, and it was wonderful to see so much confidence, enthusiasm and talent.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the staff who worked so hard behind the scenes to make the production such a success, to our PTA for providing refreshments, and to the parents who generously stayed behind to help tidy up afterwards.

What a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year – we are incredibly proud of everyone involved! 🌟🎭

The children in Oak and Willow Class had a fantastic day at the HMFA Athletics event today. Every child had the opportunity to shine, confidently taking part in one or more races and giving their very best effort.
As always, they were excellent ambassadors for the school, demonstrating enthusiasm, determination and great sportsmanship throughout the day.
Congratulations to Sutton, who were awarded the shield – a fantastic achievement!
A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible, and, of course, to our wonderful parents for their continued support and enthusiastic cheering. Your encouragement means so much to the children and us staff, and is always greatly appreciated. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏅

We were delighted to welcome some very special visitors to our church service following Wednesday Worship—a beautiful wind orchestra organised by our wonderful music teacher, Hazel.

It was a truly uplifting experience, and the children thoroughly enjoyed learning about each of the instruments as they were introduced.
