Cynefin speaks to the places, relationships and living landscapes that make us who we are.

The Industrial Revolution changed that connection. However, in North Wales, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 West Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and communities throughout the nation, it remains alive.

Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 is world-leading through the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act and has the potential to model social inclusion, social prescribing and Nature Connection throughout the British Isles, Europe and the world.

This documentary celebrates what Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 is already creating through the Pembrokeshire Outdoor Health Project and Cynefin Green Health Hub.

It will preserve Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 values, community knowledge, lived experience and the wisdom of our elders while asking:

How do we honour our human responsibility for nature, the climate, one another and the Earth? 🌎

Caitlin and I have built CWS | Conversations With Svend through teamwork.

Every conversation and film is created through trust, relationships and people bringing their different skills together.

Caitlin’s work as editor and co-producer is central to the films, together with my work as presenter, producer and filmmaker.

TEAMWORK IS DREAMWORK ❤️

We now want to bring that same spirit into a substantial Welsh 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Legacy documentary: combining personal stories, filmmaking, academic evidence and lived experience across outdoor health, Green Health, mental health, Welsh culture and community.

This is about showing what is already happening here:

• People finding belonging through nature
• Outdoor activity becoming social prescribing and prevention
• Communities sharing knowledge across generations
• People recovering their confidence, purpose and connection
• Welsh organisations creating work that could influence policy and practice far beyond Wales

We celebrate our second anniversary with Kerry Veitch and Pablo Castro, recorded at Fforest Barn Retreat Centre, Forest Coal Pit, near Abergavenny, Wales. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

This conversation follows another five-day retreat with The Sacred Breath and my third year returning to Fforest to participate in their retreats and document Kerry, Pablo and the evolution of their work.

Kerry has been connected with conscious connected breathwork since 1993. Together, Kerry and Pablo continue developing The Sacred Breath through retreats, practitioner training and communities across Wales, 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 the UK, Europe and internationally.

We explore conscious connected breathwork, warm water rebirthing, presence, community, belonging, nature, ceremony, service and the experience of coming home to ourselves.

Kerry shares the evolution of The Sacred Breath, the launch of the Advanced Warm Water Breathwork Training, and how the training welcomes experienced therapists, practitioners and breathworkers wishing to deepen their understanding of working with breath, presence and the element of water. 💦
Pablo expands on community, collaboration, nature, listening, ceremony and creating spaces where people reconnect with themselves and one another.

Together, their perspectives reveal the values that continue to inform and guide The Sacred Breath.

As CWS continues to grow, I'm increasingly interested in documenting people, organisations and communities creating healthier ways of living together. Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 provides an inspiring backdrop through ideas such as hiraeth, cynefin and the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act, encouraging prevention, collaboration, involvement, integration and long-term thinking. These principles are explored through the lived experience of people doing the work.
