This afternoon, Class 3 headed to Freshwater West for our Friday Enrichment afternoon.
With our new topic question, ‘How are we connected to Antarctica?’, in mind, we used our own coastline as a starting point for exploring just how connected our planet really is.
Standing on the shore, we considered how the Atlantic Ocean in front of us connects with the waters surrounding Antarctica. We talked about how we will investigate waves, weather, erosion and the movement of materials; we looked for evidence of marine life and coastal ecosystems; and thought about how changes thousands of miles away (including changes to Antarctica’s ice) could affect coastlines such as our own here in Pembrokeshire .
