Internal school graphics
We are very grateful to our former pupil and Graphic Designer who is working with our Higher Graphics students to design new logos for the canteens and the wellbeing lounge. A great experience for our students to apply their skills to their own school. A huge thank you to Kate – it was a really positive and productive day!

PEACE GROUP BOOK SALE

On Friday 2 October, 10 of the Tweed Reads team went to help the Peace Group set up their book sale in the Burgh Hall. They moved and set up hundreds of books and their support was much appreciated by the Peace Group members. All involved enjoyed this intergenerational voluntary work to support our local community and our school value of belong.
Mrs Stewart also picked up loads of books for the school library for only £36 (£6 a bag on the Sunday afternoon). Win-win!

Earlier this season she became the double Scottish Under 13 Rope and Boulder champion. A tenacious competitor her positive attitude is outstanding and has secured her a place in the Scotland National Development squad for two years.

PHS Pupils at VIBE in the Borders with the Scottish Chamber Orchestr

Isla, Esme, Brodie and Hector took part in VIBE in the Borders with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra (SCO).

VIBE is an informal music-making opportunity that takes place outside of school time and is open to all young people regardless of experience. Facilitated by musicians from the SCO, VIBE nurtures the collaborative creation of new music that blends the playing styles and musical influences of everyone in the group. The emphasis is on exploring new ideas, building confidence and enjoying making music together.

VIBE 2026 took place over three weekends between May and September, culminating in a final concert on 20th September as part of the Borders Music Festival. Everyone worked very hard and the result was truly phenomenal. The performance was both impressive and inspiring, and the young people should be congratulated on their conduct, commitment and achievement.
