🏰Spectator Viewing Points for the 2026 Edinburgh Riding of the Marches for this Sunday 13th September.

We are SO looking forward to welcoming you all to this Sunday's Edinburgh Riding of the Marches. We have a full day ahead, full of horses, entertainment and an amazing People's Procession!

👪This year we have provided much more detail of the best places to watch the horses in the morning as well as their route in to Edinburgh city centre, so please do line the route where you can and cheer the horses on!

👉Please note that due to the closure of the section of Duddingston Low Road, we sadly are still unable to bring the horses through Duddingston Village. Please see our spectator viewing points in the link below for alternative viewing points.

The day includes 3 aspects:

1. Horses

2. Edinburgh People's Procession

3. Royal Mile Entertainment

Lovely Ponies Available for loan.
**Not available for relocation - must stay on site at either Clovenfords or Peebles**

We have three ponies available that are sweet and honest. They are available individually (you don’t need to take all three!). Good to catch, shoe, and handle. They love being groomed and handled by children. They are not suited for a complete novice off the lead rein, but are a wonderful second pony for a confident child. Must have adult supervision. Must be kept on-site either at Clovenfords or just outside Peebles. 12.2hh, 14.1hh and 14.2hh.
