The younger children went on a trip to the forest, while the older children participated in activities in the next room, preparing for their next adventures 🥰

This morning some of us went for a nice long walk up to the forest to have a teddy bears picnic!

Today in the grasshopper room💚

Explored the countries France and Sweden - World Cup game ⚽️🌍 - investigating the playdough, making our own French flags using our fine motor skills and exploring blue and yellow water play - mixing the colours, scooping and pouring. 🇫🇷🇸🇪

Today in the grasshopper room…💚

The children spent time exploring our new garden area - we searched for bugs “I want to find a butterfly” 🦋 we also explored the flowers discussing what they need to grow “water and sun” ☀️ “pretty yellow flowers” 🌷

We celebrated the England vs Ghana game by exploring the flags with playdough - we also played a game of football with the small world toys - promoting team work and fine motor skills ⚽️😁

🦋Today in the Butterfly Room🦋

We have spent time outdoors exploring the different areas, we had a cosy area for quite reading time, a sea creature water tray to keep us cool and a construction area built into the sandpit for the children to expand their interests of construction and building☀️

In preparation for the Mayor coming to visit us next week the children spent some time cooling off, colouring in pictures ready to give to them on our visit🖍️
