Our final performances today were from Year 5 and Year 6, who sang beautifully in the church. Thank you to everyone for braving the weather today to come along and celebrate with the children - I know they loved seeing you in the audience, smiling and encouraging them! And thank you to everyone for accommodating our last minute request to change drop off and pick arrangements so the children did not get soaked or blown away!

Wow! What a fantastic performance from Year 3 and Year 4 today. The singing was spectacular and such a lovely message - spending time with loved ones over Christmas is a wonderful gift. Thank you to everyone that attended one of these performances - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Year 1 and Year 2 were amazing in today's Christmas shows! They did so well performing 3 times throughout day! Phew!! Their singing was wonderful and they showed everyone just hard they have been working to put this show together. Thank you to everyone who was able attend today and enjoy Meridian's Christmas Festivities!

What a great way to start our Christmas Festivities! Well done to our wonderful Nursery and Reception children for their amazing performances today. They were brilliant and so full of joy! Thank you to all of you that were able to attend and celebrate the Christmas story with our youngest children.

Thank you so much to all the parents and carers who attended our Year One Phonics Workshop. It was wonderful to see you all and give you the opportunity to find out how we teach phonics in school to support children to learn to read and write. We had 33 parents/carers attending - which was absolutely amazing!

We have been asked if we can share the slides and videos that were included in the workshop and these have been uploaded on to the Year One page on the school website www.meridianschool.co.uk/about-us/year-group-information/year-one

If you were not able to attend, please do look at the above resources to find out more. You can also ask your child's teacher for further support as part of Parents Evening soon.

Our second Nursery performance was wonderful! The children sung and danced all the way through - it was so special to see our youngest children joining in our Christmas celebrations! Thank you to all the families and friends that were able to attend. And thank you to Nadia and her team (Rosie, Isobel, Holly and Lou) for all their hard work!

Well done to Year 3 and Year 4 for their final performance this afternoon. Their Christmas spirit was infectious and it was lovely to see you all enjoying yourselves! A huge thank you to the Year 3 and Year 4 team for putting on this wonderful show to learn all about Christmas Around the World! Such lovely singing all day and we all enjoyed the Christmas jumpers and different headbands and hats!

Year 3 and Year 4 second performance was just amazing! The solo singers were fantastic and it was lovely to see all the parents, families and friends in the audience smiling and enjoying the show! One more to go!

The children in our Ocean Rooms performed brilliantly this afternoon to their families. It was wonderful to see them singing their songs, playing their instruments and smiling all the way through! The Christmas crafts and Christmas treats were a great way to get everyone in a Christmassy mood! Thank you to the Ocean Rooms team for supporting the children to put on this celebration.

The third and final Year 1 and Year 2 performance was just as brilliant as the first two this morning. It was so wonderful to see the children celebrating Christmas with all their families and friends. Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the performances today.
