📢 Isthmian U18s Manager Announcement – Charlie Kneath

We are thrilled to announce Charlie Kneath as the new manager of our Isthmian U18s!

Charlie joins us from Seaford Town, where he has worked tirelessly over the past few years, alongside his role as a coach for the University of Brighton men’s teams. As a former Peacehaven youth and U18 player, Charlie knows what it takes to develop young talent and lead a team with passion and dedication.

This is an exciting milestone for the club as we enter the Isthmian U18 league for the first time, and we couldn’t be happier to have Charlie at the helm. The team is in safe hands. Good luck, Charlie! 👏

Trialists: Charlie will be at Thursday night trials. All aspiring players are invited to turn up and train at the club.

Seaford Town 25/26 ⚽️🔴

A third season completed coaching the 18’s! A privilege to be in charge for 3 seasons and another season of growth and development for myself as well as the players.

We set high targets going into the season having come off a 4th place finish and losing a cup final. A brand new group with a lot of the second years stepping up and majority first year lads! The season started perfectly after a really good pre season, winning in the FA Youth Cup and beating rivals Newhaven 4-0 on the opening day. Outside of winning games we had our captain make his first team debut playing in the FA Cup and the league!

We continued our fine form up, losing only 2, until the weather struck us in November, only having 1 game in 2 months!

The second half of the season became a struggle with that break making an impact on results but the lads kept going. 20+ at training every single week, couldn’t fault their commitment!

A fixture congestion in April meant we had 8 games to play before the end of the month. With exams season hitting and it being the end of the season in general the boys done well in playing multiple games in a week!

Though we finished the season mid table and just missing out on reaching a cup final through goal difference in the group, it was a season to definitely learn and reflect on. Slight margins in football can make the difference and adversity can hit you at any point. That is where you have to get on and deal with it and do the best you can.

Definitely a season to be proud of; winning in the FA Youth Cup, beating rivals like Newhaven and Eastbourne United, highest ever win record of 10-0 and guiding 2 lads in the first team to make their step 5 debuts!

And finishing off the season with who sadly leaves us! An honour to work with and proud to have built up this group of 18’s for the last 3 years, it has been some journey!

The 18’s are back in Eastbourne Cup action as they face Eastbourne Town in their final group stage game! A win will see them progress to the final!

Get down The Crouch and support the boys under the lights in what will be a thriller! ✨
