We’ve had such a fantastic term, filled with joyful nativity plays and bustling Christmas fayres. A huge thank you to our wonderful pupils, families, and staff who made it all so special. ✨ Celebrating Student Success! ✨

Accompanied by our PE Lead, Mr Waudby, Jess Berwick and Casper Sztyler proudly represented Telscombe Cliffs Academy at a New Age Curling round robin festival — their very first experience of this inclusive sport! Both students shone as they grew in confidence, celebrated match wins, and embraced the true spirit of teamwork.

These festivals are all about helping children build independence, social skills, and lasting peer connections. At Telscombe Cliffs Academy, we’re proud to support initiatives across East Sussex Schools that boost student confidence and nurture a strong sense of belonging within our community.

We are so proud of our new Pupil Parliament—Jabir, Alayna, Ava, Charlie, Luca, Mia, Josh and Sassie—who represented Telscombe Cliffs Academy alongside Mr Ediss at the Meridian Centre Memorial on Tuesday 11th November.

The children took part in the service, reading war poems by Wilfred Owen and laying a wreath as a mark of respect. They also met the Mayor of Peacehaven, Cllr. Deborah Donovan, and joined her for a photograph.

It was a memorable experience for our pupils, who showed courage and respect throughout. Staff from PCS were so impressed that they have invited our Pupil Parliament for a future visit.

We couldn’t be prouder of the way our children represented the school.

As part of our ongoing Anti-Racist pledge, our school proudly took part in Show Racism the Red Card Day. Staff and pupils wore red to stand in solidarity against racism, joined a powerful assembly to reflect on the importance of the day, and celebrated Black History Month through engaging lessons across the school.

It was a day of learning, unity, and action—together we continue to stand up for equality and inclusion.

VE day 2025: Pupils showed their respect for peace and veterans, both in school with a two minute silence and at the local war memorial at Merdian. Pupil Parliament representatives laid wreaths, created by year four and read a poem to local residents.
