The children have absolutely loved exploring our new shop area this week! 🛒

It’s been lovely to see them using their imaginations, taking turns and sharing the resources so well with their friends. We’ve seen lots of wonderful conversations, teamwork and role play happening throughout their play.

Just a reminder that half term begins on 25/05. Nursery will reopen on Monday 01/06.

From September 2026, Wild Monkeys Beach Nursery @ Telscombe Hall will be opening ALL YEAR ROUND!

We’re excited to continue supporting families with:

Aren't we lucky to learn and play in a class room like this!
The beach is a rich sensory environment where children can experience different textures which helps with sensory processing and can be calming for children.
The fresh air, sound of the sea and sunlight all help children to relax and feel calm. 🐚🌞
Our Beach lead Lynne will be running regular sessions full of adventure ,exploration and hands-on learning in the great outdoors. We can't wait for more seaside adventures with our little monkeys.🐒

🌞 Outings & Beach School Are Back! 🌞

Now that the weather is starting to brighten up again, we’re excited to let you know that we’ll be heading out on regular outings with the children.

We’ve already enjoyed a lovely walk up the Tye and a trip to the local park, and the children had a fantastic time exploring their surroundings together.

We’ll also be restarting our Beach School sessions, which will run regularly between now and the end of the summer term. These sessions give the children wonderful opportunities to explore nature, build confidence, and enjoy learning in the great outdoors.

Please make sure your child comes to nursery with appropriate clothing and footwear for outdoor adventures, as we’ll be making the most of the lovely weather whenever we can.

Over the past few weeks, our children have been exploring the exciting world of famous artists! We have been looking at the colourful and creative work of Pablo Picasso and Frida Kahlo, learning that art can look lots of different ways — and that there is no “right” or “wrong” way to create.

The children got fully involved by:
🎨 Painting colourful portraits using different shapes and patterns
🖌️ Exploring bright colours and learning how to mix new ones
🌸 Creating their own self-portraits and talking about what makes them special
💬 Sharing their ideas and describing their artwork to their friends

It has been lovely to see their confidence grow as they tried new techniques and expressed their own ideas. We focused on creativity, independence and having fun with art.
