Well that is a wrap! As we come to end of our summer term, we want to thank all our wild monkeys families for all your continued support and choosing us to be part of your child’s journey. It is an absolute honour to be part of such an important part of their journey. We wish our preschoolers the best of luck on their next adventure and look forward to seeing how our smaller monkeys have grown over the summer. We have spaces available from September and our office is still operating if you want to enquire!

When we talk about your child learning through play, child initiated and following the children’s interests, that is also with schemas in mind. We promote positive ways to include schemas in their play. If a child has a trajectory schema and seeks out to throw toys, we redirect to objects that can be thrown in a safe environment and extend on that. ❤️

As part of Healthy Eating Week, we focused on healthy food activities. We sorted the fruits and vegetables in the tuff tray, and as part of snack time, the children created their own smoothies, chopping their own fruits, then helped to blend it all together. We used this opportunity to talk about how and where fruits grow and how important they are for our bodies.

Today at Nature Nursery, we celebrated World Ocean Day, learning about incredible marine animals.

We shared books, looking at the beautiful animals found in the ocean, and engaged in some messy play, finding the animals in the blue foam. We even created our own marine animals, with some children choosing to make jellyfish while others made turtles.
